Social Media Engine · last updated 13 October 2026
Social Media Engine is a private tool. One person, its owner, uses it to review and schedule posts for their own brands. It has no public accounts.
Signing in
Signing in with Google, Microsoft or Apple is handled by Identity Services (identityservices.cloud), the sign-in service Social Media Engine uses. The provider shares your name, email address and an account identifier with Identity Services, which uses them only to sign you in to Social Media Engine.
Sign-in is handled by a separate identity service. Your email address and password are typed into forms that go straight to that identity service, never to this app. From a sign-in, this app keeps:
- your identity service account id, to know that the owner is the one signed in;
- a session, held in a cookie in your browser. The app stores only a hash of that cookie's value, never the value itself, and the session ends after seven days or when you sign out;
- for a sign-in in progress, a short-lived record that lets the app check the identity service's answer. It is used once and is useless after ten minutes.
The audit log
Every change to content and settings is written to an audit log: who made it, what changed, and when. Refused attempts are logged too, such as a producer's token used on an owner page, or a sign-in by an account that is not the owner. The audit log cannot be edited or deleted.
What is not done
Nothing is sold or shared, and there is no advertising or third-party tracking. The only cookies are the session cookie and the sign-in-in-progress cookie, both needed for signing in.
Where it lives
The app and its data run on Cloudflare (Pages, D1 and R2).
